Beatriz Merino

MSc. Beatriz Merino (Female) is a Biomedical Engineer, specialty in Medical images, by Technical University of Madrid (2016) with a Master of Biomedical Engineering, specialty management and innovation in healthcare technologies (2017) and Master of Business Administration (2018) by Technical University of Madrid.

She is researcher and project manager at Life Supporting Technologies (LifeSTech) research group since 2017. Her research focuses on ICT in the Health domain and active and healthy aging, with special attention to chronic disease management and diabetes.

Currently, she coordinates and participates in the EIT Health funded projects: INCAP, deploying and exploiting an integrated care program for Type 1 Diabetes mellitus patients with insulin pump, enabled by digital technologies; Living Labs and Test Beds, supporting the process of inclusion of Start Ups and facilitating its matchmaking with the Living Labs network; SLIM supporting Successful Start-ups and Linking Living Labs: Innostars using Midstream Modulation Method; Better@Home: connecting digital technology to take hospital care into the home.
