Living Labs & Test Beds Network
This programme provides the benefits of living labs and test beds to entrepreneurs, so they can develop market-ready products with high added value and a high probability of success. Living labs and test beds are open innovation ecosystems where stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and patients, cooperate on solutions to healthcare challenges. Living labs support the innovation process throughout the different phases of the value chain, including ideation, co-creation, validation and scale-up. The programme seeks the involvement of start-ups and also encourages living labs and test beds to join the network.
The Living Labs and Test Beds programme offers a unique service in Europe for entrepreneurs in the health sector: access to a network of Living Labs validated by a consortium of experts, in which they can design, develop, test and validate their products, technologies and/or services in a multi-stakeholder environment including real end-users, bringing the product to the market with high added value and a high probability of success. This network is consolidated but also in constant growth throughout Europe, covering a wide variety of facilities and specialized environments and accelerating the innovation of products, services and health processes.
This project supports:
- The development and scale-up of startups on a European level, considering the different economic and usage conditions for market development.
- European Living Labs to participate in a flow of business activities funded or supported by EIT Health, improving their practices from a business and European perspective.
- A network where these stakeholders (startups, Living Labs, EIT Health partners, etc.) interact, adding to their innovation projects and solutions a differential character when reaching the market.
