Hania Tourab is a Nutritionist, she graduated in 2019 with a Master degree in Humam Nutrition and Dietetics with a First Class Honours from the University of Sciences and Technology (Algiers, Algeria). Her outstanding results in a national competition earned her an Excellence Scholarship to pursue a PhD in the Polytechnical University of Madrid.
She joined the Life Supporting Technologies research group in 2020 where she is currently pursuing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering under the scientific supervision Prof. Giuseppe Fico. Her current work focuses on using digital health and AI-based systems to inform clinical decision making for personalized microbiota-based nutrition.
Her overall interest is to combine her expertise in nutrition and health with cutting-edge technology and engineering to improve the health and quality of life of people.
